History and Focus

I founded Small Business Management System Inc. in 1981 with the desire to move away from large scale computer software development, and design new and challenging applications on mid-range computer systems. I realized the small business community was struggling with the same problems and design issues that major corporations faced, but without the dedicated resources to develop the same type of solutions on a realistic scale. This forced us to develop tight reliable software that filled the need, but was frugal with resources. This was a challenging and exciting time for us. As software development processes matured, my company took on higher roles and project management responsibilities utilizing  both technology and service companies as part of an overall solution strategy.
